Hi my name is Caleb. Did you know that gold is important in many different ways? 1 way it’s important is that it is used for inner ear implant. Gold`s also important because it’s used for surgery. Another way gold is important is that it is used in medicines. Gold is also helpful in electricity. It resists bacteria too. Gold can also fix your teeth. Gold is very yellow and shiny. Gold is a beautiful and rare metal. More than half of gold is used in jewelry. Gold reflects heat and radiation, so it is often used in space helmets and it is used in electronics such as computers and cell phones. Gold is important because we could die without gold.

 

Wheelchair basketball Assembly

On  January 16th 2015  my school went to an assembly  about wheelchair basketball and there were 4 players. There names were Dan but his nickname was Sparkles, Darren, Vince, and Shawn. They were really good at basketball even though they were in wheelchair. I wrote to them after the assembly and drew a picture for them about the wheelchair assembly.players My teacher got to play and she made a shot! Mr. Klembarsky and another teacher got to play too. My class was talking about themes last week and some themes we saw were perseverance, courage, kindness, friendship, and acceptance. The assembly made me feel happy because even though they were on wheelchairs they could play a lot better basketball then I could and I can walk. Also because they were still happy and joyful even though they didn’t have the use of there legs. I really enjoyed the Wheelchair Basketball Assembly. Please comment back:)

In Mrs. Campagna’s class we are learning about fractions. Fractions are if there are 5 lions in all and 3 are shaded the fraction is 3/5. There is a denominator and a numerator. The numerator is the top number. The denominator is the bottom number. fractions can be shown two different ways which are up and down or how I showed you. Thanksgiving tradition

Dear readers,

Every Thanksgiving my family usually goes to my Dad’s mom’s house. We have a lot of stuff to eat there. Sometimes we go to my grandma’s friend’s house. Last year my dad me and my brother threw around a football. I like having Thanksgiving better at my grandma’s friend’s house I like it there better because she lets us play on her ipad. Also she sometimes gives us erasers and she puts something under 2 plates and they get to pick something special. I’ve never gotten picked but my sister, Mikayla and grandma did though. Mikayla got a box to keep erasers and pencil gripers in. My grandma got ether a glass cup or more erasers. Thanksgiving is fun at my grandma’s friend’s house.
